My 02 R1150RT has had a new gas filter installed, the valves and TBS have been adjusted and new plugs installed. I run 93 oct gas.

On rare occasion the bike will just stall out when I roll off the throttle say at an exit ramp or stopping for a light.

What would cause that?

I wish I new. I performed the exact same services, and have the exact same issue. It also has a bad stumble after a hot restart.

Checked everything, even put another new fuel filter in. I'm stumped.

Another consideration: There was a recall a few years back that addressed this problem. The O2 sensor wire and an ignition wire were too close to each other.

+2 on my R11RT. Very, very intermittent...maybe once per long ride. It always starts right back up. I don't have any stumble after hot restart.

Not to hijack...please refer to the original poster for responses, but it sounds eerily similar.

Is your idle about 1100 - 1150?
Check your wires for any cracks, and then check your coils for cracks.

The idle maybe at 1100 or just below.
That might be the problem.

FWIW, the stalling/stumble reappeared shortly after the fuel pump replacement. I thought I was destined to live with it, but after replacing the O2 sensor at 102k it seems to be gone for good...

How does one diagnose a bad oxygen sensor? Resistance/voltage reading can be taken or similar?

Just curious. I have had a similar problem for a couple years, and keep telling myself that I must not have something adjusted just right.

Evening Steve

Diagnosing the 02 sensor is not an easy task. Fairly easy to prove it works correctly but not so easy to prove it doesn’t. Even then the sensor might be working OK just showing a fault in some other part of the fueling system.

See this thread below as I pretty well covered the 02 sensor in some detail.
