regards,

I would advise making this a Sunday event just to get the full effect of it's popularity. Otherwise it's just a small country cafe/store on another great California MC road.
Remember seeing this tread a few months ago and don't remember your time frame. However you can't go wrong riding the Western Slope of the Sierra Mountain range from Bakersfield north. If you are anywhere near Yosemite around April 22-23 make plans to stop in an see a bunch of us in Oakhurst at the Comfort Inn.

Yes, I was going to add that: +1 for Peach Tree/Indian Valley Road; I try to do it anytime I'm in the area. And hwy 58 over to I-5 is very nice.

Just back from what was, for me, a grand adventure. Rode four days from LA up the PCH to Mendocino with stops at the Rock Store, m/c museum in Solvang, and quad riding at Pismo Dunes. Rented a 1200RT LC. Really nice compard to my '09. Smoother and considerably more power. On the way south, rode Rt 33 through McKittrick and Taft and across the mountains through Ojai and back to PCH to LA. Thanks to all who offered suggestions.

I love it when someone asks motorcyclists for advice; just ask about oil. My 2 cents: go online to pashnit.com. Loads of roads with maps and reviews. Stay off PCH unless 45 mph is max for you like some HD pals of mine. You want to ride north in Santa Barbara, SLO, Kern counties; or south into Riverside and San Diego counties. Try to avoid evening returns on the freeway system unless you enjoy lane splitting. And just show up at one of the events here on bmwst.com: I did 2 years ago and haven't stopped riding with good company since. Vaya con dios.
