Addendum to the 70's bike video

This one is from the 80's, but the roots definitely go back.

I was at the Arizona Motorsports Park for a track day yesterday and was surprised to see this '85 RD350LC YPVS. It was a typical one-of-these-days basket cases when the current owner acquired it. Lots of time and work later he had a most unusual track bike. The only big mods were a shock from later model bike, different head, and a stroker kit.

It was nice to experience the sights, sounds, and smell of my two-stroke past.

Another one I almost had. Same as the GS 1000S I passed on, I had the chance to buy this KR painted RZ back in about 85ish for $1800 bucks, it being a brand new leftover. Bigger was better back then I guess and my young brain couldn't look far enough into the future to see what cool bikes they'd turn out to be.

"It came back to me." (Kenny Roberts)

Watching him ride like that With no practice, I'd say it didn't come back to him...it never left.

I was lucky enough to see him race that TZ dirt tracker at The San Jose Mile

I got to see one of the last shuttle flights launch ... I think I'd trade ya!:thumbsup:

The Golden Age of Dirt Track, glad I bought a ticket (and still have all the programs).

I got to see the Challenger land at Edwards, I cried like a baby.
