R1150RT High Beam Bulb retainer

Does anyone know the part # for the plastic retainer that holds the H3 bulb in place? The part is held in place by a spring steel clip, but the plastic part that I need is what actually positions and holds the bulb in place.

Is this for a replacement bulb?? The parts diagram and list do not show anything similar to what you describe.

I know that my new high beam LED bulb (Cyclops H7 LED) came with such a retainer to aid installing the bulb, install the retainer ring with the spring steel clips, then insert the bulb into it.

You are right, the parts list does not show the retainer. That is what the problem is. Without this item the oem bulb cannot stay in the headlight housing. It is also this retainer that supplies the contact for the ground connection to the bulb.

Here is the part number of the plastic hi beam bulb holder: 63 12 2 305 854

For some reason then part is not listed on the R11150RT parts breakdown.

It can be found on the headlight breakdown for the K1200RS here under 63 - lighting.
