mrzoom
I've been thinking about a newer bike for awhile now. Back and forth between a cam head or a wet head. Since the cam head is close to my present 2005 RT and I have a ton of farkles that would fit it I decided on a 2013 RT with only 7920 miles on it. Gray and silver, 49L top case and a factory tank bag. The bike was located in Denver at BMW of Denver and after a few calls I told them to put a sold sign on it. We had planed to visit an old friend in Longmont Co anyway so on the way back hit Denver and bought it. I wasn't aware that it was a consignment bike until I got there however they treated me like I had just bought 3 new ones. Decent price and they have a very nice policy of a 30 day discount on anything they carry or can order. The whole buying experience was smooth and flawless. After a few quick parking lot adjustments, grip buddies, V1 hook up and remove that steamer trunk and putting on my old 29L box, I was off with wife and our GSD, who was a star at the place, following in the Van. I took a round about way home, ok, wife says I was lost, and went south along the front range until we hit Rt 50 then east to an over night in Lamar Co. Town of beef feeder lots and not much else. Up the next morning and headed for Tulsa taking the back roads. We sure killed a lot of BIG grasshoppers and yellow butterflies. The newer RT is nice. After I get the rest of my farkles installed it will feel even more nice. Ya, I know pictures, I'm not smart enough to post here besides you all know what a RT looks like. Now to sell the 2005 Link to comment

Bud
Congrats on the new ride! Good to hear the dealer treated you so well. I visited them in July and was impressed with the new location and the extensive inventory of new and used bikes. Let the farkeling begin! Link to comment

mrzoom
That's it!!! Sold steamer trunk so I could afford some other necessities. Which windscreen, which set of auxiliary lights etc. I've already installed the bar back and up set, had to shorten 6 bolts, lower foot pegs, V1 mount and have the dash all apart waiting for the HID kit from DDM. Sooooo much to do yet. Link to comment
