Still Yet Another Battery Question

Just a quick question...don't wanna start another long battery thread...

Looks like the battery in my 04 R1150RT is pretty close to dead. Not sure how old it is, it came with the bike when I bought it almost 4 years ago.

Anyway, I'm planning to go with a PC680 but do I also need the L-adapters for the connections? I searched the forums but didn't find anything about that.

Oh...also, it the PC680 an exact fit for the R1150RT or willI need to make some spacers? (I guess that's two questions...sorry about that.)

TIA...

You don't NEED the L brackets, but they will make it easier.

It will be a little loose - but a piece of cardboard underneath should do it.

Some odyssey places automatically include the brackets, by the way, and some don't. You can make your own by smashing some copper pipe, drilling holes in each end, and bending it into an L.

Hey, MarkAZ,

You might want to get the correct charger/maintainer/desulfator for that AGM PC680. Here is my experience with PC680's and chargers (Post # 991827 this forum):

PC680 and '99 R1100RT

The old PC680 that I pulled and then rejuvenated is still going strong. FWIW.

I had a PC680 in my 02 RT. Made my own L brackets with copper tubing. I shimmed it with a cut up cheap number plate like This one that I got from a bike shop.
