MotoGP of Spain

Pretty strange last few laps today. About 4 laps to go, Lorenzo, who is in 2nd, takes down Pedrosa, Dovi, and himself. Felt bad for Pedrosa who was pretty strong until then.

Unlike Lorenzo and Pedrosi, Dovi wanted to assign some form of blame in the after-race interviews. He faulted the other riders for making mistakes when the whole incident happened because Dovi broke late, went wide and Lorenzo went under.

The problem was, as Lorenzo cut back to the apex, Pedrosa was already there. Pedrosa had seen what happened and logically took the corner right on the inside line to undercut both Dovi and Lorenzo. Lorenzo may not have even known Pedrosa was close enough to make that move. Lorenzo tried to sit up but too late and the contact sends Pedrosa flying while the impact carries Lorenzo back into the path of Dovi.

All three rode exactly as you'd expect. It was a racing incident. It was obvious that Dovi wanted past Lorenzo and probably could have pulled a small gap. But he could have done it better. Half a second either way on the initial Dovi / Lorenzo tango, and Lorenzo and Pedrosa don't touch and Dovi have would only lost a position and the race would have been a bit more interesting at the end.

yeah, It was a bad scene all around. A racing incident for sure. I haven't watched the interviews yet,
