MichiganBob
Good Evening, I'm wondering what your idle speed is when cold and then warmed up. When I first start it, it's 1600, after warming, 1100. Both seem a little high. Other then checking that cables are seated okay, I'm thinking that there is no idle screw like the good old days. Two questions, does my idle speed seem high, and secondly, if it is, any ideas on how to adjust it to a lower idle. This is for a 2012 1200RT. Many thanks. Bob Link to comment
6speedTi
My 2012RT does the same. At initial start up it idles a bit high. Maybe around 1600 as you stated. It then settles down to 1100 and holds there. I wouldn't worry unless it runs higher or lower than normal all the time. Link to comment

Highway41
My '13 does the same. The stepper motors (Idle Control Device on the parts fiche) control idle speed and are not adjustable. Link to comment
MichiganBob
Good Lord, "stepper motors." I'm not going to rant about increased complexity because this camhead is so much superior to my past 4 beemers but it's a little scary to think about how much technology is our of our control.
