I don't know about the best....but I used a Nelson-Rigg UV-2000 half cover (size large) on my 1150RT. Packs small, inexpensive, and provides great coverage for use on the road.

me too. For daily use, when commuting and covering the bike before going into the office, I think the Nelson-Rigg UV-2000 is perfect. Packs down to the size of a loaf of bread too.

 

I'm on my 2nd one.

 

They're usually about $35 - $40.

I use an Aerostich lightweight cover. Packs very small and repels sunlight and light weather. Attaches with a lower elastic drawstring which secures it well in most wind but I wouldn't trust it in a storm.

 

For heavier and tougher conditions, I have a Dowco Guardian that is heavy, durable, and impenetrable by most weather.
