oilhead1100s1150rt
Good Day, I only had the BMW "touring seat" with my 2002 r1150rt when purchased.. I took it off immediately, as it stands very high and is not for me. I have since replaced it with a Corbin. My question is, does anyone have experience with the BMW "touring seat" vs the BMW stock seat? Are they the same base? I am looking into a BMS custom seat, and am thinking of using the touring seat base for the new BMS saddle. The touring seat seams to fit a bit loose, and wondering if I should look around for a used stock seat just for the base, or is the touring seat base the same. Thanks, Dave Link to comment
Tri750
The touring seat is actually called the "comfort" seat and uses the same base. The comfort is taller and wider. Link to comment
oilhead1100s1150rt
Thanks Tri750 - yes - comfort seat. The thing is huge. I will use the comfort seat base for my BMS seat then. Thanks for the info. Dave Link to comment
