RPG
Its time to replace the worn out, stretched out rubber bands inside the saddlebags on my 2004 RT. These are used to hold the stored items in place. BMW wants $12 ea. and there's 8 of them so was just wondering if anyone else has sourced an alternative. See Item #7 in the attachment. eddd
Nothing special. I replaced some similar straps with elastic banding that can be found at any many stores, but a fabric store will give you the best selection. Link to comment
ron c
I replaced mine some years ago. As eddd says, the fabric store is your friend. Regards, Ron Link to comment
RTinNC
Fortunately before I sold my '06 RT I swapped the bag tethers since those on the '06 were heavy webbing with velcro at the ends. They fit the 2016 like a champ. When I checked to see if I could reorder the nice straps on the '06 O see they have replaced them with the wimpy elastic straps on the RTW's. I use the micro bungees with stick on nylon loops for the lid side. Link to comment
