NSFW but not porn. Ave is likely a genius w/ deep background fixing industrial machinery & systems. His language is very rough. He buys and tests tools and appliances to their breaking points and isn't a shill for any company or product.

Will take the time to explain the metallurgy, electrosity (his term) and hydraulic processes.

Since purchasing & utilizing an electric motorcycle this past May,

I've discovered Fully Charged

It's based in the U.K. But the host has spent time in the States & attempts to make sure we understand the content.

It's a glimpse into the future in terms of transportation, electrical generation, & upgrades to the Grid.

Here's a good example of its content.

For anyone interested in machining, here's a supercompetant journeyman.

In this video he's working on some Hyabusa pistons. He has a ton of other stuff. See Abom79 for more.

Thanks, Mickey.

Here's a guy that has been successful in the machining business in Houston.

he's talking about how he built his shop and his reputation. I like the way he tells his story.

He has uploaded a lot of videos, many highly technical (CNC machining).

that shows the dance of a CNC machine set to music.

Introducing

, a "highly-trained unprofessional" Harley tech from Chatahoochie Chattahoochee, GA. I like his style.

I'll nominate ElectroBOOM. He's an electrical engineer, and he's cranked out a whole bunch of entertaining and educational videos about electricity and electrical devices. He's got a great sense of humor, and his videos are peppered with jokes. He frequently makes "mistakes". I have that in quotes because I think he's too smart to make real mistakes; I think he's making them happen on purpose for the sake of entertainment/comedy and just tolerating the risk of pain/injury (some of them really hurt!).

Here's a couple of good ones to get you started:

I will also nominate the Smarter Every Day collection. Destin Sanders is an honest-to-god rocket scientist, and he's got a knack for explaining science subjects to the layperson. His

he didn't really explain a whole lot in this one, but it's still fun to watch. His
video is actually relevant to our interests: we talk about practicing things like braking and swerving, and in this video Destin demonstrates the difference between cognitively understanding what we need to do, and drilling your brain to viscerally/automatically react to situations in the desired way.

Eric - thanks for the links. Call me a lightweight, but I liked the Slo Mo Guys a lot.

Here's a young enthusiastic scooter guy who overcomes life's challenges with joy. Maybe start with this one:

(Secondary Throttle Valve Actuator - a stepper motor that sometimes gets lost.

It's a 1.5 hour video of yesterdays (5/22/18) launch, but if you're pressed for time the first 15 to 20 minutes is extremely interesting and informative.

I would think the same web address will be used for future missions.

I may have posted this before...but just in case I haven't, here's “history of Japan” by Bill Wurtz:

Comical and very entertaining, but according to my wife, also impressively accurate.

Surprised nobody has yet mentioned Colin Furze's YouTube channel. This guy is a comical mad scientist who builds crazy, dangerous, hilarious contraptions, like

or
(which, in some versions, looks like it could easily amputate an arm or leg).

I've spent quite a bit of time lately watching the ADVChina channel. The videos are done by a couple of white guys living in China, and at least one of them has a Chinese wife and a kid. The videos are usually about 10-20 minutes long, and most of them are presented as an expositive conversation between the two while they are riding their motorcycles around in China, but their discussions generally aren't about motorcycling. They talk a lot about various aspects of Chinese culture, what it's like living in China (for Chinese people and for these two white guys), various social issues, that sort of thing.
