LittleBriar
Looking for the diameter of the top tube on these. I'm traveling and don't have a tape or caliper. I want to order a ram mount. Link to comment
T-88
1.0 inches, as measured with digital caliper. Tim Link to comment

T-88
The upper most top tube - the one upon which the OP would most likely attach a Ram mount. Tim Link to comment
AndyS
Sorry, a bit slow here. What top tube? are you talking about the handlbar diameter? Link to comment
LittleBriar
Sorry, a bit slow here. What top tube? are you talking about the handlbar diameter? I'm asking about the diameter of the bar back adapter. The tube that the grips get attached to. I found out it is 1" dia. I installed a RAM mount on it to hold my phone. Works great. Link to comment
Rob Nowell
How does the Ilium set-up look? The advantage of optional RAM mounts is great (and is this why you chose Ilium?), but how about the aesthetics? Link to comment
LittleBriar
I choose the ilium bar backs to move my grips up and back to improve ergonomics. Here's what they look like. Mounting the phone on them was an afterthought. I'll take a picture shortly to show how I mounted the phone. Link to comment
Rob Nowell
I'd probably have to get them installed. I don't have confidence enough to risk screwing everything up. Link to comment
LittleBriar
I can't image it taking more than 30 minutes for a qualified mechanic. If you order it yourself, make sure to rent the removal tool for the guy. Link to comment
