Whooosh
Both my RT and my GS come back from the dealer missing many of these (nearly invisible) little washers under the body panel screws. I'm replacing the air cleaner on the RT, which means removing and reinstalling most of the body panels, so it occurs to me, "Why not try to find replacement washers?!" Any ideas, anyone found a good source? Thanks, Tom Link to comment
Charles Elms
Try McMaster-Carr, they usually have anything you need. 1 Link to comment

Thanks, Tom Afternoon Whooosh Yes, count up the number that you are missing then call that darn dealer & have them mail you the missing washers that THEY forgot to reinstall. If the service manager gives you crap then ask to speak to the dealer owner directly (insist). If you really don't want to go that way then try a local hardware store as they usually have different plastic washers, or try Lowes as the usually have a couple of pull out drawers with smaller plastic washers. Whooosh
Well, I tried McMaster-Carr, and the washers for the M5 Screw are too small and the washers for the M8 Screw (for the 8mm shank) are too large. And, my nearest dealer isn't open on Monday. I'll let you know... Tom From McMaster-Carr online store.... RTinNC
My local Ace hardware had some that fit near perfect. They were in the aisle with the little bins. Link to comment
