Would you carry a 3-D Printer in your top case?

BMW-branded 3-D printer

Morning John

There is no mention of being able to print the tools to install those parts.

The only plastic that I travel with is a credit card & a G***k . Maybe as a weight saver BMW could just include a much smaller 3-D printer in a tank bag that is only large enough to print a credit card.

Only if it can print a final drive...

They do make 3D printers that work with sintered metal, but it's commonly only half the tensile strength of what that parent material should be. Of course, based on some of the final drive failures I have heard of, that might be an improvement.

Has to be an April Fool's story, right?

Absolutely.

The smart thing to do would be to print other 3-D printers and sell them to your friends.

I would print myself so I could get twice the riding time in !

According to my online research that's not a great idea:

edit to add: there's some questionable language and really questionable humor - watch at your own risk :)
