Front Suspension and Preload Stage?

I just purchased a 2018 G310GS. I'm 250 lbs. plus I have a top 30 liter top case. I'm curious:

1) What do heavier riders or heavier loaded bikers set their preload at: stage 5 or stage 10 or higher?

2) What front suspension are heavier loaders using? The current front end is very soft for my weight and load.
