RobCO80831
Somehow managed to break my metal key today on my bike. Luckily it's only used to lock the cases. Does anyone know if the dealer can replace it or will I need to buy new cases? The key broke right where it flips into the key fob. Link to comment
MikeB60
They can replace it. All I needed was the registration and it had to come from Deutschland. Took a couple of weeks. They are not cheap! Link to comment
LAF
It was 37 dollars for a steel key from my dealer. It was less than a week to get it in. I ordered a steel key to save using my FOB for unlocking my bags, seats, and GPS on my GS. A single steel key is easier to carry and use rather than a FOB IMHO. YMMV Edited June 13, 2018 by LAF Link to comment
RobCO80831
Thanks for that info. The metal key that comes in the fob seems pretty cheaply made. Link to comment
