Mystery holes under the R1150RT tupperware ???

Hi all

Hoping that someone can provide the answer...

I removed the tupperware to do some work behind the dash and noticed 2 holes on each side at the front. I know they are not used for anything normally but wondered if they could be used to mount some brackets for a pair of single led spot lights. There is 2 layers of the ABS plastic with a clip-nut on the inner layer. I can see they have never been used before. I was in the process of making some brackets to fit some lights under the mirrors as many others have done but noticed these which got me thinking.
