Transmission to battery box bushings.. need em?

So I'm swapping my trans with a M97 that was in a 95 1100rs. The bushings on the top do not have the threaded studs that go into the bottom of the battery box.

The old ones ripped in half when I tried to pull them from my old trans.

Should I bother getting the correct ones? The bushings I have are in good shape and just don't have the threaded rod sticking out.

Thoughts? I'm thinking that it won't matter and those bushings seem be very expensive: part 61212305050 for reference. MSRP is 28.13/each!

Afternoon WilloCo

That is a darn good question & easy for me to answer as my money isn't involved (use the correct mounts).

That is one of those things that once you buy & install the correct items you will forget about the cost in a few weeks, but if you make-do with the incorrect parts it will bother you for a l-o-n-g time. You REALLY don't want to have to take it apart later to install those mounts as THAT is a lot of work.

Hate those things! I normally cut them off because it's such a pita to slide them under the battery box when installing the transmission. that being said, if I say one thing and DR says something else, do what DR says.
