MANN OIL FILTER ML1003

Conveniently, my wife's Toyota Sienna and my R1100RT take the same filter (Purolator L10241).

Just found a Mann version of that filter at Rock Auto... for @2.39! clap

EDIT TO ADD LINK: http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/moreinfo.php?pk=2264196

I haven't taken one apart yet, but Mann supplies exceptionally high quality OEM filters for Volvo and Mercedes (probably BMW too), so I would expect these to be good.

That's funny. The 'RT and my John Deere lawn tractor take the same oil filter. smile

I like the Bosch, and NAPA Gold. Good construction on tear-down, good filter element.

Popular filter. Dodge Neons and SAABs take it too.

I dug through this thread today and found the post with links to the info compiled by Jim VonBaden. I've edited my OP (the first post in this thread) so that it includes links to those files; anyone who wants one can go and click on those links and save a copy to their hard drive.

Fuel Filter interchange-

I replaced the fuel filter in my 1100RT with:

WIX 33032 (MicroGard 33032 available at O'Reily auto parts stores is the same filter as the WIX)

This filter is the exact same length as the BMW filter, but a bit smaller diameter- all metal and is a perfect fit.

Tag on box also lists the Fram G2 as an interchange but I have not verified this.
