I now have the means to get my bike out of snow country and ride!

TKLoader in '05 Ford F250 super cab long bed with BAK Industries BAK Flip folding tonneau cover.

(Of course, this winter is the dryest since I have lived in the area, receiving only one snow so far this season.)

TKLoader stowed with BAK Flip in place.

BAK Flip folded up.

TKLoader first extension to clear tailgate.

TKLoader second extension to pivot position.

TKLoader fully extended and ready for motorcycle loading.

Motorcycle loaded with front tie downs installed.

Winching motorcycle up...

Motorcycle winching complete. Rear tie downs are now attached.

Slide motorcycle forward from pivot position.

Slide motorcycle forward from tailgate clearance position. Close tailgate

Okay, that's really cool, but why that over simple ramps and a chock? Cheaper, and allows you to use the bed normally.

Primary reasons:
1) I'm a wimp and don't trust myself loading this large a bike up/down a ramp.
2) I wanted the capability of singlehandedly loading and hauling the bike from wherever it might be even if it wasn't running.

While the loader does take up a lot of bed space, there are two options:
1) Remove the loader. The loader is attached to the bed using the 2 bed bolts at the rear and two brackets which slip under the side rails in front. Access is a bit of a problem on the bed bolts. Assuming I can resolve this, then uninstalling or installing the loader is a 5 to 10 minute single person operation.

2) Use the loader as a slide out tray for the contents I normally carry in the bed. This is what I will most likely do.

Unfortunately, my pickup is now gone.
Fortunately for someone out there, the TK Loader is for sale.

Truck was a great play vehicle, but not a good work vehicle.
Truck replaced with a small van. Terrible play vehicle but great work vehicle.
Unfortunately work still takes priority for me...
