A one day ride I kind of put together on the map. I've rode all these roads at one time or another, but not recently, and not linked together.
From Staunton rt. 250 west to Monterey. rt. 220 north past Franklin. From rt. 220 take the road through "Smoke Hole" to rt. 55/Cabins (spectacular). Rt. 55 south to Seneca Rocks. Rt. 28 south to Judy Gap/Thorwood/Green Bank. Rt. 66 west to Cass Rairoad/rt. 219. Rt. 219 south to rt. 150 WV "Scenic Highland Parkway", to rt. 39 (very nice). Rt. 39 east through Goshen Gap to rt. 252. Rt. 252 back to Staunton.
All these roads are well paved, but some of it narrow, no lines, no shoulder, no guardrail.
They are all nice in different ways.
Age is a issue of mind over matter. If you don't mind, it doesn't matter... (Mark Twain) Many years and 1 million (s)miles.
