I pm'd Larry Wed. about some info he'd find useful and mentioned that I was free Fri., and would he like to ride up into the local mountains. We didn't get the plans straight until Fri. morning, but better late than never. We met up at the Coffee Klatch near the 210 and 57, and from there headed up 39 toward Crystal Lake where we dismounted and hiked around a bit and I took these two. If you look closely you will see two fishermen on the left.




We then backtracked down to the East Fork Rd>Glendora Mountain Rd>Glendora Ridge Rd where I took these. Mt. Baldy is featured in the second.








Then it was off to Mt. Baldy for lunch at the Buckhorn Restaurant, then down Mt. Baldy Rd and back to civilization to slab it home. Great roads, great weather, great time. Thanks Larry.

Coffee Klatsch = Kaffee Klatsch = Coffee break

Incidentally, one of the few words that can have a double meaning as it also can mean "clapping"(your hands together).

Jeez, my German is getting soo rusty. I will have to go back soon. 25 years is too long.

30 years ago Crystal Lake was a pretty nice spot. I think they should rename it Crystal Pond... A lake it is not...
