I couldn't wait, the anticipation was too much for me so I left this morning and rode HWY 1 down the coast to Cambria and then 58 over to Bakersfield where I'm holed up in a No-tell motel. I'll head up the Kern river canyon in the morning and then down 395 and over to Joshua Tree NP and I haven't planned any farther than that but I'll be about a day early if I don't find a diversion along the way. What a great day it was for riding. This is gonna be so much fun! See you all Friday if not sooner.

Well, you might consider a loop over to Big Bear via 138 off of the 15. Rim of the World is a great road going past Silerwood Lake and Arrowhead. When you get to Big Bear you can drop back into the high desert via 18 to Old Women Springs rode that wil take you to 62.

76 on Saturday and Sunday - I'm going to die! Hasn't been that hot here since September.

Bring you swim suit. How about Biff, does he like to swim?

He hasn't had much opportunity to swim, most of the water round here is solid all winter 8-) He did wade out into the Pacific after a seagull but hasn't shown much interest in swimming otherwise. He does like to play in the streams when they are running but they are not deep enough to swim in.

I will be late to my own party tomorrow. Just got back from the East Coast about an hour ago and have to work a few critical things over the next 24 hours since I just got some new G2 on the latest Defense Budget. My plan is to be there by 5:00PM

Jerry and I got as far as Morro Bay Wednesday night and then had to head back to the Bay Area due to an injury which made it almost impossible for Jerry to walk. He could get on the bike although it didn't exactly resemble a ballet while he did so.

Was really looking forward to this one and found some great roads to take on the way there. Will have to save them for next year I guess. Have fun all
