This will be argued about for a while, but If he had:

A) Kept his distance
B) Kept his mouth shut
C) Kept his foot to himself

... none of it would of happened.

Is she justified? NO. Am I defending her? NO.

Kicking the front end of a car with an angry driver in it is a bit like slapping a grizzly bear on the face. She may have started the whole thing (according to the Jalopnik article she cut him off in traffic before the video started), but the moment he kicked her car was the moment he really stopped thinking clearly about the future.

Right on Dave. His bike would have remained undamaged, and himself uninjured if he'd managed to keep his temper and just mosey on down the road. Perhaps he had a right to be angry, but he lost in the end.

the last time a driver almost killed me (a young woman), we met at a red light and I managed to get her to lower her passenger window. I then pulled out my wallet, explained that she almost ran me over, then showed her pics of my wife and daughter and my continued desire to be able to come home every night and be with them.

She apologized profusely and that was that.
