FIM is the only sanctioning body for WORLD records, and they are the only International Organization ratifying such records. Again, I am NOT downgrading anyone's accomplishment. Just a point of info. But, I'm still more impressed with the passenger (an accomplished rider) who got on the back of the K1200S when it first came out and rode along to set the 2up class record at over 176 mph (if I remember right). Nice people. they made a series of runs, and were having fun, very comfortable with what they were doing. One run, she was on the back, the next, he was on the back.
