Official UnRally XIV Announcement!!

Edit: I'm not going anywhere near Bud's house. That's just downright disturbing. I'll buy him a beer in Wisconsin to try to put a stop to this type of thing.

These folks weren't disturbed! :grin::clap::wave::rofl:

I thought Tom's bike only traveled north/south? You should see if you can coax him across the Mississippi. ;) Now, I'll just shut up unless I'm able to put up. :P

Looks like a truckload of beer. Such a waste, but not nearly as messy as an overturned truckload of chickens.

But it's Wisconsin. I'm surprised there isn't a hoard of people scooping those cans up!

Please note: I am a recovering cheese-head.

Kinda had thoughts along the same line. To hear them talk, that'd be a before-dinner drink for an adult double date.

Beer tipping first. Then cow tipping.

Careful what you wish for...

Well at least they can recycle the trailer to make more cans.

If you are a cheesehead, you always have to look at the bright side.

Will there be any cow tipping activities? :P

The customary 15% to 20%.

That's bad, Mike, really bad.

I'd be nice to him, Randy. After all, he's putting on this shindig. You could easily end up with an unexpected roommate. Mooooooooo!

Udderly ridiculous unless they put cream in your coffee. :)

Not sure this would go well with coffee.

Mods, I'd like to go on record that I'm very sorry for having made what I thought was a humorous comment....I had no idea things would go south so fast and in such a bad fashion. :dopeslap:

Yes, it's been a long winter. Everybody needs to get back on their bikes. :/

I thought the responses were humorous as well and all in good fun.

No cows were harmed during the creation of this post.

Thanks to the organizers reminder this morning, I also have a room as well.

I asked for the "Clown Free" room.

As one of the organizers, I want to remind everyone that riding motorcycles on great roads, enjoying outstanding food and beer, and sharing laughs with new and old friends is very serious business. Please abstain from unnecessary frivolity.

I'm not kidding. Mitch and I take this very seriously.

I asked for a "cow free" room. Do you have any idea how hard it is to get a cow free room in Wisco?

It is difficult. Of course, to them, "Cow Free" may mean a room without one of these:

It just naturally comes with the room in WI. I understand they're kind of Gideon-like about it.

Pat,

Still working on the gyroscopic adjustments required to allow east/west travel.

As for the Mississippi, I don't think the wife is aware that the Mississippi has any proximity to Wisconsin. Who'd have thought an F in Geography would be so useful?

I thought it was something like that!

All in good fun you know, but man, you sure know how to make a guy feel uncomfortable waiting for the expected swift kick in the arse.

Sorry Pat. Sometimes the mind wanders and other times it's just plain lost.

Sadly.....

I'm scheduled to head overseas this spring instead. It will be the trip of a lifetime and something my mother had always wanted to do. For those that are curious this is where I am going. Yes, I know it's not at the exact time of the UN, but it's a matter of only having so much vacation time. :(

Shawn, I hope it's your trip of a life time. I'm planning on going there in sept. so take notes for me. My moms parents were from Ireland so it's kind of a trip home for me.

Sadly indeed. For us, at least. For you, sounds like an awesome trip; hope you have a blast.

Scotland, eh? If you happen to see the Kurgan while you're over there, say hi to him for me.

A brief update from one of your UnPlanners:

I've been chugging away on the routes, and things are looking purty good. I have seven scenic, twisty day rides plotted across most of the Driftless Area in lengths to accommodate most everyone, and I have several "to/from" routes laid out for people who want something other than pure superslab on their journey to/from the event. For your amusement, I have also marked a long list of waypoints marking worthy (and not-so-worthy) roadside attractions.

Watch for the route file and directions to be posted by the end of April.

We've had a couple of cancellations, but here's the current attendance list (if I've mis-edited anyone's name, please let me know):

i-PbTNVMb.jpg

In addition to the usual crew of long-distance specialists who are willing to cross the continent to come to an Un no matter where it's held, this year's unusual location is attracting an uncommon crew of locals. This is a great chance for you to meet and greet folks you haven't seen before. The registration deadline is less than a month away, so don't let it sneak by.

Hey, it's nice to see that we'll have someone riding from Louisiana! Maybe Dave C in New Orleans and I can get together and compare stories about the Pelican State.

Aside from that I'm looking forward to seeing some familiar faces and meeting some new members. I was hoping that Arizona Al would be there because I need some pieces and parts for my ear gear. I guess it'll have to wait until Fall Torrey....

Here's the UnRally attendance list as of today:

i-9z4TfS5.jpg

We're less than two weeks away from the registration deadline (11:59PM on May 21).

If you've only been to east-coast or west-coast UnRallies before, this is your chance to see some new territory!
