ABS motor. Round 2.

Nice and quite this arvo so I stripped the bike back to reveal the ABS.

I'll open the brake lines tomorrow and yank it out, again.

I did replace a dodgy TB actuator. Easy one there.

I don't have the tools to pull/cut the ABS motor bearing.

I'm pretty sure I didn't flush the Magnet Can 4 months ago.

We shall see, I'll get some pics.

Bloody hot here today. 94 F all day. 85 F now and it's 11PM.

Even the pool water is hot.

And Happy New Year !!!

No thanks. I was in New Orleans in July a couple of years back. That was like here, hot and steamy.

Adelaide and Melbourne copped it this Xmas. Northerly winds straight off the desert pushed it up to 45C down there, 113 in the old money.

I must be getting old and grumpy, gotta winge about something :)

Last June, I rode across Arizona in 45 C heat. It was fine, but I would not have wanted to have a breakdown crossing the desert at that temperature.

Sat in the pool and got on the turps yesterday but it's raining today, at last, so back at it.

Pulled the ABS, got the motor off and put a meter on the motor contacts. It showed a short which is correct. WTF.

I opened and flushed the motor again. I had flushed the magnet can last time, the insides looked just fine.

Brushes slide ok and according to my meter, are making contact.

So I put it back together, put the motor back on the abs and applied a little jbweld.

I'll have to leave it for 24hours or until the JB goes off.

All I can do now is plug it back in tomorrow and see if it's working.

Got a couple of pics but nothing new ....
