Looks like a sign-in is needed. :read: I've never ridden any of the big KTM Adventure Bikes which is probably a good thing.

For sale is my 2012 990 Adventure. 25,600 miles, excellent condition. I bought the bike in Knoxville and did a fly and ride home to where the bike is now located in central Florida. Did a few rides and then rode it to Salt Lake City and back in summer 2015. It has only been ridden occasionally on a few short trips since then. Asking $9500. It's possible I could take a trade but probably not, lol.

Bike includes:

•Oxford heated grips

•Touratech GPS mount adapter

•SW-Motech Quick-lok EVO side case racks (bags not included)

•KTM Hard Parts radiator guard

•Adventure Machines auxiliary fan kit

•Rekluse Clutch and slave cylinder. (clutch is not currently installed)

•Headlight protector

•CJ Designs transparent clutch cover (stock included)

•FMF Q4 exhaust

•Black Dog Cycle Works rear rack

Recent suspension service, new chain and sprockets and clutch basket.

More pictures can be seen at:

Located in central Florida but I may be able to assist in delivery, or you can do a fly & ride.

Google says one Canadian dollar equals .75 U.S. Dollars. Making that bike $25740.45.

Hence, it's Unobtainium.

Canada is on sale now. We enjoyed the favorable exchange rate twice in the last 12 months. Once with our Grands in Vancouver and then our 3 week boating adventure to Desolation Sound.

It's all good! Go now, go cheap, help our friends to the north!

Where is the drooling emoticon? It is gorgeous and way too much for my skills.

drool.gif I've drooled over the K1200R/K1300R for a looooong time. Never pulled the trigger though. Good thing it's not too close to home.

4 reasons I couldn't own that bike.

1. Speeding ticket

2. Speeding ticket

3. Speeding ticket

4. Loss of license.

I never got a ticket on my K13S. It was easy to ride well. As long as you're okay with "well" being north of 80 mph. Yeah, I was forever the student, but that bike was very good.

Here is a low mileage 04 Twin Spark at a reasonable price.

With a Big Mak tank bag to boot!

And an airhead that must not be "collectible" yet.

People seemed to either love them or hate them, but I give Honda credit for their execution of an interesting concept.

Wonder if that is dirt, or, more likely, the windscreen issues from back around then?

New screen and mirror not that bad.

For a couple of grand more, you can pick up a 2005 or newer KLT. From what I recall, they made some big changes in 2005 that affected suspension and low speed manueverability. It might be worth the extra cash....... not that I have ever thought about doing such a thing. ;)

Until the battery dies, in the front of your garage, in the dead of winter.

One of the bikes that had my interest back in the day. It was the first bike with a factory six speed. $650 new...$5000 used.

A 460 ci...because a small block V8 just wouldn't have enough power?

The pool of prospective buyers for something like this has to be minuscule.

I sure pity the forks on that trike.

Dave

Agreed. In addition to the extreme rake, the trail is pretty extreme. But what struck me were the handlebars. How far to the side do you have to hang off to get around a tight corner in a parking lot or city street.

Wonder on how it would handle the track banking at Talladega?

Breaks my heart to see this photo. In high school (mid 70s) a classmate inherited one in the same colors from an uncle who had passed away. He turned it into a chopper even though all who saw the bike begged him to leave it stock. He butchered the job and it looked terrible. Then he crashed it into scrap iron. That bike was too cool in stock trim. All the cables had Black/white spiral covers and OEM leather side bags.

Your feet would never get cold, then again Scooter couldn't ride in his flip-flops.... for long.

From from the late 60s until 85 I lived on the western edge of Vegas. We used to hike, ride bikes, party out there. Beautiful. Now the /7, very nice. I had a 1976 r90/6 back then, eventually adding an S fairing. A buddy had, as I recall, an R75/7 with a fairing like the one in the photo.
