Rick Ward
Anyone ever tried mounting a GPS screen using the suction cup to the wind screen? My guess would be that the vibration and weight of the unit would be more than the vacuum could hold.? Link to comment
Tourmaster
Seemed like a good idea at the time, no other easy mount and I was in a hurry...lasted all of 10 minutes. At least the plug stayed attached as the GPS swung in the breeze. NOT RECOMMENDED. Link to comment
TEWKS
I think the curvature of the windscreen would be your enemy. Maybe stick it to the tachometer? I'd still use a tether cord though. Pat Link to comment
Rick Ward
Yep, I was thinking the same but like you; it came to mind as to you a good idea. Thanks. Link to comment
greiffster
Even if it stuck, I imagine the shaking and vibration would make it hard to see. RAM makes a mounting solution for everything. Link to comment

Jake
An RCU shelf mounted GPS would be the shizzle. Link to comment
tallman
The potential for the support arms having issues with the added weight and vibration would nix it for me. Link to comment
Eckhard Grohe
I would put it on an RCU shelf. In addition, the RCU shelf blocks reflections of the instruments in the wind screen. Link to comment
dan cata
I used the suction cup on the speedometer glass and tension the phone on the windshield arm. It worked. Then I made myself a mount over the 4 screws that hold the dash. Still works today. https://www.sugarsync.com/pf/D2331532_223_6952522840 Dan. Edited March 2, 2017 by dan cata Link to comment
szurszewski
Second on the speedo or odo glass - I've done that and it works (if you don't mind losing sight of one). I have tried sticking things to the windshield on the RT and LT and both had too much curve. Link to comment
