I ran a NC V Stream for several thousand miles. I decided something better was in order and began working on the Quiet Ride. I can tell you that I am picky about a windshield and the Quiet Ride is significantly better all around than the V Stream. What I cannot tell you is how it does in rain. I don't expect a windshield to keep rain off me. There is simply too much room under the screen that allows water through to build a screen that lessens that. I like to ride with the screen lowered in heavy rain so the wind clears my visor. Beyond that I don't know how to describe how the Quiet Ride works in the rain.

I can tell you that the passenger will see a SIGNIFICANT improvement in noise and turbulence over the V Stream I was running ( tallest version ). You will likely be most satisfied with the 26" height.

Good opinion. I'm leaning toward making the switch and am fussing with height. The V-stream is a tad over 25". I had a taller shield from CB on the K16gt which was better than stock, but was at the edge of acceptable on height as it was nearly eye level at the lowest level. I'll keep measuring and scratching.

The rain thing is important as I've done several X-country rides venturing into Mexico and going above the Great Lakes. I've always hit rain/sleet/hail/bee swarms somewhere along the way. When it's warm, it's no big deal, but when cold, the more water avoidance the better.

Funny note: I rode through the tail end of Katrina and the rain was so warm and tropical that I had to keep my face shield propped open a little with balls of duct tape to keep the inside from fogging. There was water running on both side of the shield so at that point the type of shield didn't matter.

Thanks for the opinion.

At this time we don't have plans to offer a Quiet Ride for the earlier model RT's.

Until the end of April 2017 WERKS Parts has an offer to show appreciation to those that have helped fund the site through recent donations. If your name is on the posted list of donors currently posted, we are offering a $30 discount off any Quiet Ride ordered!

It isn't too late to get on that list!

Either fill out the contact form on the Quiet Ride webpage HERE and mention your name as seen on the donor list, or send an e-mail to terry@werksparts.com and mention your donor name along with shipping, name, phone number and what size and clear or tint you are interested in. I will then e-mail an invoice with the discount. Invoice can be paid online with credit card or e-check.

Thank you all for helping spread the word about the WERKS Quiet Ride for the new RT's!
