Rougarou
well maybe. I just rode to work in some yellow to orange radar rain. Fairly heavy stuff. Typically, within the first 10-15 minutes of my ride, no matter how I adjust the suit, my crotch starts getting seep through. It happens enough that I keep spare pants for work in the side case. So, the other week, while I was at Lowe's, I come across Never Wet Fabric and had to give it a go. I've used the Two Part Stuff on non-water proof boots with excellent results so, the fabric stuff should be good to go too. I'm here to say, it does work. I arrived to work without any wet crotch. I sprayed the entire crotch area and a few inches above along with the behind area. ZERO seep through. The results are still a maybe because my ride is only one hour so I don't know how much pounding rain the stuff could take on a long distance ride. Anyway, I likes it!!!! Link to comment

tallman
I solved that problem by using another brand. HT by First Gear. Never, including hurricane feeder bands had wet anywhere. YMMV Link to comment

T.M. Roe
We call that "The Aerostich Depends Moment". One learns to have the crotch popped up to preserve that dry, (and excited) look. Link to comment
TyTass
Yeah, that beats "the hover" method of keeping one's crotch dry. Just sayin'. Link to comment

Rougarou
Here's a review on gizmodo that points out the down side(s) to the neverwet product: LINK I've had the two part stuff for at least two years and have only coated my non-waterproof boots three times in that time. I've yet to have a leak through. Sure the two part stuff is a chalky white when dried, but it does, just like your link stated, flake off. But even after the white stuff flakes off, it still repels water. I've actually had more leak through in my goretex boots than the non-waterproof boots that were treated. Link to comment

And, before anyone jumps on me, the $titch can be a life saver, as many other products can. But, I've seen them wear through in low speed wipe outs etc. I've seen the garments afterward, or discussed, literally hundreds of incidents, what. where, wear, etc with riders who have been in a crash. Every person I know has the crotch issue with a Stitch, the cost of initiation. So yeah, buy one, spend $15 and fix the design flaw, no problem here. Or... Link to comment
