H4 12953BWX2 Philips X-treme Ultinon LED Headlight Bulb

Just tested beam pattern with my 2000 R1100RT and it is US (left-side driver) compatible. This was a concern because these are JP/EU bulbs (Philips USA "we know nothing") and box pictures showed right-side driver. I asked vendor and they reassured me US compatible. Which they are -- the beam angles up a bit on the right to illuminate Stop signs, etc.

The beam is wide and at 6200K Bright White. While I haven't been flashed I think I need to turn the low beam down say 15 degrees. I'll grab some car friends and we'll do some front/behind/side tests on our back country roads.

Installation is easy and instructions are adequate but read them three times first. You do have to carve a bit on the BMW rubber gasket but its obvious what needs to be done. I recommend a bit of silicone grease on all connections for water resistance.

The bulbs are only sold in pairs and they are EXPENSIVE so I'll probably part with the second one at half what I paid including free USPS shipping in US.
