indy
2002 1150RT Rear exhaust bracket, the one on the muffler itself sheared off. One half Is still in the muffler mount and I can't get it out. Even if I did not sure if it's replaceable. Looks like I'm hosed and have to buy the whole rear cat and muffler unit???? Not sure if the old one can be welded. Not much to grab onto Any advice is well appreciated Indy- off to beemer boneyard Link to comment

Most can be weld repaired but you might have a strange break so without seeing it we can't really offer a viable repair option. Link to comment
indy
Sorry it took so long..... https://imageshack.com/i/pouPQwuGj ....the bracket is on the inside -tire side- near the rear left leg foot peg. I'm hoping to find an old school bike shop that can weld it. Tia, Indy Link to comment

Tia, Afternoon Indy That isn't going to be an easy weld but a good weld shop should be able to repair it with a little fabrication & good weld knowledge. (bracket is still solid the hanger pin looks decent) The problem will probably be in finding a qualified shop to do the repair. Maybe at least get a repair price then weigh that against buying a good used exhaust system. It should be pretty easy to find a used system but the quality of that used system might be an issue. indy
I found a local old time flat tracker shop that may be able to weld the broken bracket. Gonna be hard to schedule but... And not to steal my own thread, but has anyone ever heard of this system? http://www.ebay.com/itm/172461967074?item=172461967074&rmvSB=true TIA The price seems to good to be fer reals.
