m3arch
The fuel gauge on my 2009 K1300S has suddenly stopped working. I changed the battery since it was on its last legs after 4 years in Arizona, but the gauge still will not indicate actual fuel levels. It stays fixed on empty and the low fuel light stays lit. Any ideas on what else I can try before I take in to the dealer? Link to comment
Lowndes
M3arch, You might try over in the i-BMW forums. Lots of activity there on K's. i-BMW Link to comment
selyab
The bad news is you have one of the bikes that will need a new fuel strip every two years or so forever. The good news is BMW will do it for free for you for another four years because they extended the warranty on this to 12 years in service. If you get one in the 12 year, the two year warranty on new BMW parts will cover it until the 14th year. I had three strips in my K1200GT before I sold it. Link to comment
