Adventure Top Case Back Rest ALT

Good day to all, I am in search of a different backrest on my adventure top case as the OEM on is proving to be uncomfortable for my very patient and understanding rider. Any recommendations?

Have you considered local upholstry shops (especially auto upholstry)? Might get a custom backrest for a pretty reasonable price.

You could look for a rubber supply or mfr (Valley Rubber?) in your area. Using layers of neoprene at 1 or 2 inches thick, one can carve a backrest out with PSA (peel and stick adhesive) or contact cement. I imagine you can also source rubber sheet from McMaster Carr. At the very least, you can mock up a backrest for someone to make from upholstery.

You could try a different back pad or padding inside the co-riders jacket.

thanks to all for your replies! I will consider all of the above. We are ordering the Hit Air Vest (Xmas presents) so she will need to see how the backrest feels with the added vest over her jacket. thanks!
