Haven't been here in a few weeks and was looking for ESA troubleshooting info, but an advanced search on All Forums with keyword "ESA" produced no results. Hm. Same with keyword "RT" which you would think would return at least SOME results ;-)

Is there a problem with the search function or am I missing something obvious?
Thanks.

I've come across many forums that do not have effective search engines for keywords of three letters or less.

Try a Google search for "site:bmwsporttouring.com ESA"

Russ -

I'm interested in searching too. It can be very rewarding or super frustrating! I'm not an expert - just an interested party.

Some words are possibly too non-specific for the local search engine. ESA is possibly considered either too short or too often found by the programmers who wrote our search engine. It would be like searching for "the" or "a". A search on "Electronic Suspension Adjustment" returned 71 hits.

The google search engine is more sophisticated. A search initiated from the command line: site: bmwsportouring.com "ESA" returned 8000 hits.

PS: I see Larry beat me to the punch!

This is correct. Our current default method of the search engine will not recognize a search word of 3 characters or less.

Stromtrooper has a "Google Custom Search button on most of the pages. Not sure if this simply adds the "site:" automatically. But, it works so very well in searching that site for pertinent information. That site is owned by Vertical Scope, not sure if there is a cost associated. But it does add a lot for those that look for information.
