Cycledude
Hello all, Recently my 2015 RTW started blowing a white-ish smoke from the tailpipe on cold starts. The bike has about 11,xxx miles. All season I would commute to work one the bike and did not notice any smoke on start up. As the season ended I would ride less. The last two starts were a week or so apart. That is when I could see the smoke. Has anyone else had this symptom? I'm wondering if this is signs of a head gasket challenge. The machine is in warranty, but then I need to go visit the dealer. Snowy. Edited November 5, 2017 by Essnowyt Link to comment
CRUSTYBEEMER
Are you sure it is smoke and not just condensation? Link to comment
realshelby
White smoke coming from the exhaust, when fully warmed up, would be coolant. Note the "fully warmed up". Otherwise it is simply condensation from combustion that is visible in cooler weather. If your coolant reserve tank is staying at a set level, you are not losing coolant. I figure it is just the weather change. I have seen condensation come from mine at times. Link to comment
