Bernie
Finally got my butt back on the bike and decided to go for a ride. I had a few modifications on the bike to check out also. Surprised to find a new coffee shop in a small town. 15 Link to comment
Bernie
Part 2 of today’s ride: I ended up riding 262 miles and avoiding any serious rain showers. I found a nice place for lunch. I didn’t know the place had reopened under new ownership. By the way the test was a success. A good size cheeseburger with a Coffee milk shake (made with coffee, instead of milk). A screen shot of the BMW Connected App after completing the ride. 9 Link to comment

Thanks Bernie will have to try it next time I'm down that way. Good to know it changed hands, wasn't that great last time I was there but it's been a few years. 2 Link to comment

Indy Dave
After dodging storms in the morning (yesterday) going north... And then again going back South later than I'd liked... I was just leaving Plymouth.. and, as a testament to Clean Living™ I pretty much threaded the needle between heavy cells and just had about 15 minutes of light rain, with a great light show in the distance both East and West. For my BBR troubles, and again as a testament to Clean Living™ I was treated to this before getting home at 0 dark-thirty. 14 1 1 Link to comment

Rockosmith
How about a Natural Tunnel that is 850’ long, 200’ wide, and 80’ tall. Railroad tracks were laid in the 1880s and are still used today. And you get to ride a cable tram into a 300’ deep gorge too! 7 1 Link to comment

TEWKS
Another great western Mass day ride with @Chef Paul and his buddy Cliff. We found the rain which kind of sucked because I was close enough to home where I didn’t think rain gear was necessary. Sorry believers but a Stich is not water proof, resistant maybe. Yep, Paul knows where all the cool stuff is out in that part of the state! The Hoosac Tunnel 11 Link to comment

syntorz
Wisconsin Driftless Area ride today. The good Col. Waage was from Argyle, WI. Kinda cool that the town could get his jet planted at the town park. One virtual cookie for the first person that can identify this jet type. No cheating! 7 Link to comment

Redman
Seems that in recent weeks I havent been getting out for much of a ride, other than into town to coffee shop (rotation of three actaully) about 4 or 5 times a week. ANd maybe a couple times a week into town for sunset at the beach/pier. ANd for riding into/around town like that has been the Shadow500. Need to break that routine, and get out for more of a ride. Today rode up to Muskegon. Stopped for pic at the beach with view of the light on breakwater. ANd then along channel. Found a place with a view back to the lighthouse on the pier THen downtown. Found a brewery/coffeeshop . . . .and . . . hung out there for a while. THen back home for some things we had going on. Not a lot of miles at all, but was good to get out of town for a while. Need to go further. 8 Link to comment

Indy Dave
Another Clean Living Story from early last week . . . Kind of a theme.. as the proceeding ride is the one posted here earlier . . Point of the trip was to check out the damage from an elderly lady who missed the brake and hit the gas . . She was coming to one of the medical clinics in our building: 1) She can't lift her leg to do stairs... So why is she driving? 2) She didn't want her husband to know about this, as she had just picked up the car from the body shop . . Pretty sure her husband is going to notice, unless he's blind. That light pole is . . . wait for it .... $3,000! Maybe the value is in its ability to slow/stop inadvertent curb jumpers? Any who, the ride home . . . Found a park shelter in the Windfall, IN Metro Area - (Population 689) Good thing I always carry my water wings after my 'incident' in Oregon some years ago.. If I'd known I was going to go swimming, I would have brought some sun screen . . . 9 Link to comment

DBULL
WI roads at 71 degrees, corn on the left, soybeans on the left, no traffic. We love our rhythm of watching the fields be prepared in the spring, and begin to germinate, then mature. It's part of our summer pattern. 5 Link to comment
Redman
Again, instead of sitting in coffee shop here in Grand Haven, last week I went to Muskegon, yesterday I just picked the next lighthouse north of Muskegon, which is White Lake channel (Montague/Whitehall). I already knew that have about no view of lighthouse from parking lot near the lighthouse. But, looking at map, I see there is a park on other side of the channel, way around White Lake, where I haven’t been before. View from that park, looking across the channel. In morning light the lighthouse is in shadows of trees. This lighthouse is ways back down the channel, not out on the pier. Now know would be in better light in afternoon. So need a return trip sometime in the afternoon some day soon. Also found this place on interesting old bridge nearby where I watched a blue heron for a while (left of center). After watching the blue heron thru camera telephoto lens for at least 10 minutes, I turned off camera and walked back to bike - THEN an eagle swooped down and attacked the blue heron. (Heron got back up. Eagle went to nearby limb, then went elsewhere.) Again, not a lot of miles, but good to get out for some hours and visit a new place. 7 Link to comment
John Ranalletta
Preparing to load the RT last evening, the battery was dead - less than 3v. Tender charged it overnight so, trip’s on. Great ride from Nineveh, where we drop the trailer, to St. Meinrad. Decelerating on interstate ramp, the motor shook and died. It restarted but on one cylinder. Rode it back to Nineveh (100 miles); loaded it and looking forward to tearing into it tomorrow. It gets along pretty good on one lung. Hopefully, no more damage, but who knows. Two pictures from St. Meinrad Abbey chapel. I guess I should have prayed harder. 4 1 2 Link to comment
