MichiganBob Posted June 9 Share Posted June 9 Good Evening, I need to install a new battery and remember struggling mighty the last time I installed one in my 2018 1200 RT. Someone on the board heard my plea and provided guidance on how to be set this new battery into a miserably tight fit. I recall that the suggested technique worked fine. MichiganBob Posted June 10 Author Share Posted June 10 Ah ha .... found a few you tube links. The manual that came with the bike gives incorrect instructions for installing the cover. You need to slide the battery out so it could be lifted and the plate is then slid on making sure that the bottom side facing you plastic stud goes into the proper slot first. 1 Link to comment
