I am new to this forum only just managed to get a BMW recently. The bike is a 2001 R1100RS, its been sitting for the past 2 years and I am now going through it and replacing cracked hoses, new battery, rear tire and general cleaning. Being it is fuel injected is there a fuel additive that I can use safely to clean out the system it does look like it was stored dry so no old fuel to deal with.

Would appriciate any information you might wish to impart.

I am in mid state Arizona

Techron is very good. BMW fuel system cleaner is relabeled Techron.  If you are certain it was stored dry and it seems to be running okay, then Techron may be enough. If it's running rough you could also pull the injectors and have them professionally cleaned.  Pro injector cleaning shops will typically replace the filter in the injector, new o-ring, and give you a report showing how closely the cleaned injectors match each other. Makes throttle body balancing much easier.
