R1150RT impact strip, Part # 71-60-7-657-481

Can anyone point me to a source for these impact strips. I had them on my previous R1150RT and they worked great. Barring a source, any ideas on how that I may make something like this.

I can't help you with those exact ones but BMW did offer a wider protection kit.

P/N---- 71 60 2 340 324            RIGHT IMPACT PROTECTION         $135.00

 

I think BMW also offered a full protection kit (contained the above pieces plus a couple more).

 

If you are out riding then you might ride to a local auto body shop & talk with someone there. They deal with all kinds of molding so could possibly make a suggestion of something they have seen that could be made to work.

I have planned to take the jpg of the strip and go to a body shop as you suggested.
