Godfather
Ok... How many people have actually had a transmission failure? I have read horror stories, but the actual number of occurances is my question. What year was your bad transmission, mileage and cost of repairs? I am sure others would like to know too. Thanks Link to comment
EffBee
90,000 miles. No problems at all. Don't expect any. Link to comment
Ken H.
One has to be cautious about conclusions of failure rates based on what you see posted on a Internet forum that is specifically about repairs. The owners 10s of 1000s of BMWs that have never had a transmission (or any other) problem never post here. Link to comment
SageRider
I believe the type of info you are looking for is here . The data linked to above may not have been updated for several of the more recent tranny failures. Just as no one knows what the exact number of failures or the failure percentages are, no one knows what the number of problem free motorcycles are. Plenty of assumptions on both sides of the numbers. Link to comment
