Dave in Doodah
Just enjoyed my first oilhead maintenance. After 20 years with an airhead (R100RT - which I am STILL in love with), I must say: These new bikes are nice and easy to maintain... no more thermostat screw to install to get the old oil to drain from the oil cooler... no more messing with a ball-end wrench to get the thermostat housing off for access to the oil filter cartridge... no more playing with drippy, hinged oil filters and snaking them out... no more worry about pinching the silicon oil filter o-ring when re-installing the thermostat housing to the engine block... actually, it was kind of a buzz-kill! BFG
Your buzz will return when you do a valve adjust. Twice the fun. Link to comment
Dave in Doodah
Yeah, two valves in place of one could have potential... that is pretty simple on the airhead. But there are some good posts on this site for the procedure, so I ain't askeered... Link to comment
