jonzn
I'm wearing Aerostich elkskin ropers for my gloves here in the Arizona summer and they keep getting stiff from my sweating hands. I wash/soak them occasionally as per Aerostich instructions but am looking for some way to treat them so that they remain supple. Any suggestions???? Jonzn Link to comment
Firefight911
Get some mink oil and apply it periodically. This will keep the glove supple and water resistant. Any shoe store or leather shop will have some. Link to comment
bmw_rider
Or Tack shop (the only place I could find a container larger than 4 oz.) ! Mink oil or any good leather conditioner. Since the gloves are already hard, I'd recommend apply once, let sit for a day or two and apply another layer. Then see how they are, you may need to do a thrid treatment if they are really dry. The wash/soak is to clean them from grime and dirt. I'd retreat after any type of cleaning. Link to comment
