Starfighter
I have a Garmin 2720 Bike powered. I've mounted an Autocom Active 7 smart. For the 2720 I have the power/audio cable. All that remains is the cable from the 2.5mm female on the garmin cable to the phone in on the Autocom. Can I use a generic mono cable 2.5mm to 3.5mm or do I need something special because the GPS is bike powered ? Autocom is not available for questions until 8/19... Link to comment
E30TECH
I use a 'generic' cable with 90 degree plugs. I also have it going into a noise filter before it goes into the autocom. Link to comment
Fugu
I used a generic cable, 3.5 to 3.5 with a 3.5 to 2.5 adaptor. Both my gps and autocom (active plus) were bike powered. No issues on my install. Link to comment
John Bentall
You could try using a generic cable since many people do not seem to have problems with ground loop interference. Personally I would also add the #1285 isolator box between the generic cable and the Autocom. Link to comment
