Starfighter
On the left side of my engine ('04R1150RTP) there's a banjo fitting at the sump moviong oil to/from....(cooler?) Anyway, it appears to be leaking ........very little (10 drops in 300 miles).......at that banjo fitting. I checked torque and it was a tad loose. I can see from the parts breakdown there's two crush washers there. Question is : do I take it off and replace the washers or is it not worth it and am I asking for trouble going in...... As always thanx for any. Link to comment
RodB
By replacing the washers you are not asking for trouble, just for the leak to stop. Go for it, easy to do. Link to comment
Boffin
The banjo is the return from the cooler. It is below the normal oil level and so the fix is best done at an oil change. If I recall correctly, the washers are the same as used on the tranny. Andy Link to comment
