Firefight911
It's time to get my torque wrenches at home re-calibrated. I used to be really good about handling this but it has been a few years. I also have been given the task to handle the required re-calibration of our work torque wrenches. I'm a certified technician for breathing apparatus repair and, for obvious life safety reasons, need to have our tools calibrated and certified. Anyone have a recommended shop that they use? I was given this outfit - Team Torque - but have no first hand knowledge. I have both torque watches (low level torque) and regular torque wrenches that are in need. So, any recommendations for quality work? Link to comment
krussell
http://www.transcat.com/ I found them because they are a couple of miles from me. You might also consider the vendor of the wrenches you use. I have CDI wrenches, they will do calibration at the factory. I ultimately went with transcat because they were closer. Link to comment
11101110
I just visit the cal shop at work. Of course none of my torque wrenches can be "recalibrated". If one is off I will just go by the data sheet. They are all still within spec after many years of service. Link to comment
Huzband
Given your recent surgury, I'd say it's a good idea that you, (cough), bone up on this procedure. Link to comment
Danny caddyshack Noonan
Phil, I've run into that before with interim checks between "cert" dates. Something like this was put on the shop floor for ops personnel to use. The place I used to work at didn't allow clicker torque wrenches, only beam and dial. Where I am now allows clickers. http://www.tohnichi.com/products3.asp Link to comment
