garmin 2610

Hello, Just obtained a garmin 2610 for my 2003 r1150rt - couldnt justify the high price for the zumo !! Looking for suggestions for how to mount the unit on the bike. I dont want to fit a touratech as it masks the warning lights on the bikes dashboard. Seem to recall that BMW made a mount which attached to the 4 x handlebar mount scres on the top yoke??

Pictures would be helpful.......

thanks in advance

R-A-M compatible* Hardware kit for mounting RAM-11M base to fork bridge area on BMWs with cast handlebars. Requires RAM-11M base.

P/N# RCB-CHB-HDW (15th down the list)

You would need an arm.... A R-A-M Arm connects the 1" ball on the device being mounted to the 1" ball on the bike. It is available in three sizes.

(near the end of the list)

Compact (2-7/16" x 1-5/16") base. Can be bolted to a sturdy surface as a mounting base; also used as a ball adapter on R-A-M cradles. Can be used to attach Touratech cradles to R-A-M systems

(3rd down the list)

and you will need a garmin cradle.

I mounted a Garmin 2720 on my '87 R80RT using one of those RAM mounts (similar to the one in the eBay link) and it works fine.
