johnlt
I installed Suberban Machinery peg lowering brackets on my RT and went for a 100 mile ride yesterday and wow, my knees love it. With the seat in the high position it is like sitting in a chair. Amazing what 1 1/2 in lower pegs can do for comfort. Now my Rick Mayer seat is due to arrive Wednesday and I'll pronounce the RT "done" in terms of mods for my taste/style of riding. Link to comment
cali_beemer
I am happy you like them John.....however, its never really, "done". Link to comment
krussell
Amazing what 1 1/2 in lower pegs can do for comfort. I had them on my RT, Pillion too, we both loved them. When I went to sell the bike I pulled everything off, including the peg lowers, bar backs, and Russell saddle. I did a 100 mile farewell ride and was amazed at how uncomfortable the bike was without that stuff. It doesn't help that I am 6'4". I'll pronounce the RT "done" in terms of mods Now that's hilarious. Spartan
Same set up I run, SM peg lowering kit and Rick Mayer seat. Your knees will really appreciate the lower pegs on long rides. Is the shifter long enough for your boot? I found extending mine 1/2" is perfect for my size 13. Link to comment
johnlt
The existing shifter and brake levers work fine but I did need to lower both of them a full 1 inch. Easy to do. Link to comment
